Welcome to the online gallery of my latest work. My paintings are an emotional response to the places I have visited. Sometimes the final paintings are more representational and obvious and at other times more abstract and obscure, but either way I hope they evoke something of what attracted me to them in the first place.

The interior of the church was bathed in a blue and golden light, reminding me of a misty atmospheric landscape where vague images of trees and hills could be discerned through the mist. Only in this landscape the trees and hills were replaced by statues and architecture, partially concealed by the light. As in most church interiors there was a strong sense of calm and stillness. I hope the viewer experiences all of this in the paintings.
Situated in the Moreton National Park. The work here represents a particular visit when the sky was quite stormy and dramatic. Against this backdrop the colours of the falls and the surrounding vegetation seemed more intense. In particular flashes of orange/red banksia against the dark sky.
